Sanskrit word karna means ear and akarana means close to the ear. Akarna Dhanurasana (Shooting Bow Posture) means a drawn bow and arrow-shaped posture.

When a bow-arrow runs, the back part of the arrow is dragged to the ear at that stage. The position of this perceson is called the Akarna Dhanurasana (Shooting Bow Posture).

Spread both feet and sit down. Hold the thumb of the right foot with the left ear and move the foot to the left ear.
Hold the left toe thumb with the right hand, which is spread to the front.
